This 4-week course with Christine Szeredy will demystify lighting gear and all of its components. You will achieve a comprehensive understanding of situational lighting through a series of assignments on everything from portraits to still life. Discover how characteristics of light change the mood, beauty and purpose of the image. At the end of the workshop you will have more confidence in lighting anybody and anything! Participants must be competent with their camera's manual controls, but need to no prior lighting experience. Learn on your own equipment or play with something new in a professional studio.

 

  • Resulting Skills:
    -Technical knowledge of studio equipment
    -Understanding of lighting principles
    -Cognitive understanding of lighting effects

 

About the Instructor:  Christine Szeredy is an international acclaimed photographer. Her images have been highlighted in American Photography, ProFoto, Select Magazine, Picture Perfect, Alcove Books, MAC-on-Campus, Photo Vogue Italy. She holds a Masters in Fine Art form the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and has taught private workshops in her studio at the Art Institute in Charlotte.
