Would you like to learn everything you need to know about proper exposure, color management, Lightroom, portraiture, studio lighting and printing all in one class?

This workshop will educate you through the entire process. For this two-weekend intensive workshop, you will learn technical and creative skills, make brand new work, and leave with a tangible result of your learning experience. It is truly a Soup to Nuts experience with two instructors that will keep you laughing, thinking, and learning and will challenge your creative brain.

In the first weekend, we will break down the nuts and bolts of digital exposure essentials, color management and an introduction to Lightroom. Making images with the best possible exposure will ensure that your print output is excellent. There will be an introduction to portrait photo history through contemporary aesthetics as well as the basics of studio lighting. In the second weekend we will photograph real models in the studio, learn strategies for selecting the best images from your studio session, develop an editing workflow and print output. Along the way you will be crafting your own personal vision and learning to express that through your photography.
